Objectives
The main objective of this WP is to
identify and to grade the effect of
the main factors affecting fish reproductive
performances using an integrative multifactorial
approach and integrating variables of
breeder welfare and gamete and larval
quality.
Description
of work
* control of main environmental factors
* effect of environmental factors on
the reproductive performance
* effect of non-environmental factors
on the quality of the reproduction
Deliverables
At the end of the 1st year (progress
report), optimal environmental conditions
for pikeperch breeders held in recirculating
systems will be determined, based on
the results of the multifactorial experimental
design. Final report will propose recommendations
for optimising broodstock management,
including breeder characteristics, environmental
and feeding conditions.
Expected
results and relevant corresponding milestones
This workpackage will permit to define
the main breeders characteristics and
management conditions allowing an optimization
of the reproduction performances and
larval quality.
