Deliverables
A progress report with the procedure
to advance or delay pikeperch spawning
will be delivered in month 13, containing
also the results of artificial fertilisation.
Progress report of year 2 and final
report (M25) will include the optimal
procedure of out-season spawning and
the optimal method for artificial fertilisation.
Data on egg and larval quality obtained
from broodstock submitted to manipulate
maturation cycle would be also provided,
based on results combining WP2 and WP3.
Expected
results and relevant corresponding milestones
The workpackage will yield insight in
the maturation and spawning of pikeperch
kept under an artificial cycle shifted
for half a year. The methods developed
for artificial fertilisation, rearing
and marking of individual families will
be the basis for a future breeding program.
The optimal broodstock diet selected
during year 1 (WP3) will be used to
feed the breeders under manipulated
maturation cycle during year 2.
